Know what AI is worth before you spend on it

RoadmapAI AuditWhere to Start

Most AI budgets get committed before anyone has priced the workflow they are meant to replace. We start by measuring what the current process costs in hours and in errors, then say which parts of it a model can carry and which it cannot.

The output is a document you can act on without us. If the honest answer is that nothing in scope justifies a build, we say so, and you have spent a fraction of a project to find out.

What the engagement produces

An opportunity map of your workflows, each scored on volume, cost, and how mechanical the underlying decision is. A feasibility read on every one of them against your actual data and systems rather than a reference architecture. A prioritized sequence with an estimate per item, so the first thing built is the first thing that pays. And the list of what we would not build, with the reason, which is usually the more useful half.

Who this is for

Teams who ran a pilot that impressed everyone and shipped nothing. Operators with a process they know is wasteful but cannot size. Founders being asked by a board where AI fits, who would rather answer with numbers than a slide. Buyers holding a vendor proposal who want a second read on whether the scope is real.

What it costs you to skip this

The common failure is building the impressive thing instead of the expensive one. A generative interface on top of a workflow that runs forty times a month returns nothing worth the maintenance. The same effort spent on the workflow that runs four hundred times a day changes what the department costs to operate.

What you get

  • Opportunity map with scored workflows
  • Feasibility assessment against your systems
  • Prioritized roadmap with estimates
  • The do-not-build list, with reasons

Common questions

How long does an AI strategy engagement take?
Two to four weeks, depending on how many workflows are in scope and how quickly we can get read access to the systems behind them.
Do we have to build with you afterwards?
No. The roadmap is written so another team can execute it. Clients who do continue with us tend to do it because the estimates held, not because they were locked in.
What do you need from us to start?
Time with the people who actually do the work, read access to the systems involved, and whatever you already know about volumes. If the volumes are not measured anywhere, measuring them is the first part of the engagement.
Is this useful if we have already chosen a use case?
Often. The question becomes whether that use case is the best one available rather than whether it is possible, and a short version of this work has changed the sequence more than once.
